Manuel Velapatiño supports in modeling forestry and agricultural chains of value to be implemented in our REDD+ project investments in Latin América and the economic-financial analysis that reflect its viability together with communities, non-governmental institutions, and the private sector.
His previous experience was in modeling agricultural and agroforestry chain of value in AIDER´s projects (a Peruvian leader NGO in forestry management and the formulation and implementation of REDD+, financed by USAID, CIDA and PROFONANPE) and also for the Agricultural Ministry. As well, was involved in the research of financial mechanism for sustainable use of biodiversity in Natural Protected Areas and the elaboration of Business Plan for the sustainable use of natural resources and ecosystem services.
He believes in sustainable development through the efficient use of Natural Resources, the Conservation of ecosystem services and the responsible investment together with a democratic and progressive public sector.
Is Bachelor in Economy Science at the Agrarian University in Lima, Peru and enjoy Peruvian cuisine and sports.
