Althelia Funds is an impact investment fund platform that makes investments targeted at promoting conservation, improving local communities and generating sustainable products, in both terrestrial and ocean landscapes. Althelia Funds is managed by Mirova Natural Capital Limited, an affiliate of Mirova Natural Capital and Natixis Investment Managers.

Althelia Funds is headquartered in London, with projects in Latin America, Africa and Asia. We currently have three funds under management – the Althelia Climate Fund (ACF), the Land Degradation Neutrality Fund (LDN) and the Althelia Sustainable Ocean Fund (SOF). Althelia Funds are also the appointed investment Advisor to the AGRI3 Fund. Althelia Funds are in the process of launching other financing vehicles in the sustainable landuse space.

This Investment and Portfolio analyst will report into Althelia Fund’s COO and Fund Managers to provide financial analytical support to both individual investment opportunities and reporting at the portfolio level.

Job Description

  • Financial analysis of pipeline investment opportunities and presentation of the findings to Investment and Risk Committees.
  • Ongoing analysis of financial performance of invested opportunities in the portfolio investments.
  • Maintain platform wide standards of financial performance measurement
  • Support front office staff in the development of financial models related to deal structuring.
  • Maintain portfolio level investment fund models for the purpose of fund management and reporting to investors.

Person Specification


  • Minimum 3 years’ in the financial analysis of investments and investment portfolios in the private equity and/or project finance space.
  • A passion for sustainable investment
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills including excel based financial modelling.
  • Familiarity with best practice excel modelling best practices.
  • Undergraduate/graduate degree in a financial discipline.
  • A passion for sustainable development and experience in sustainable development
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Excellent time and project management.
  • Right to work in UK.
